Ashley S. Higson, M.S.P., CCC-SLP

Hello Brains! I am a North Carolina licensed (NCBOESLPA) and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech-language pathologist. I earned a Masters of Speech Pathology from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. Working in a variety of settings, including private practice, private and public schools, preschools, and in telehealth, has allowed me to broaden my skill set and improve my cognitive flexibility - now there’s a good executive function term!

In my years as a practicing speech language pathologist, I have acquired extensive experience treating children with speech sound production and phonological disorders, language disorders, auditory processing disorders, and executive function deficits. I absolutely love studying “all-things-brain” and have completed coursework in neuro-development and neuroscience as it relates to speech language pathology, auditory processing, and executive function skills in children, adolescents, and young adults. Being a lifelong learner, I have prioritized my continuing education and ongoing clinical training in order to best serve all of my clients. I believe that maintaining excellent communication with the families of my clients is of utmost importance in an effort to produce successful coaching outcomes.

When not seeing clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters.
